My Story

Born and raised in the affluent Northampton, I spent most of my younger life studying music of all things. After finishing school in 2011, I left to study composition for film at The University of Huddersfield, however, after graduating, soon realised that no one wants to pay an aspiring young composer, so I landed a job at House of Fraser whilst I considered my next step. Whilst there one of my colleagues mentioned that she’d broken a ring, so we ventured into Huddersfield town centre to find a place that may be able to repair it.

This was how I chanced upon Walkers Jewellers for the first time and was immediately entranced by the historic building and the wonderful staff! Sharron herself greeted my friend with “You’re incredibly cool, would you like a job?” to which my friend replied, “No thank you, but he does” and thus began my career as a jeweller.

Skipping forward a few years, I’ve been working now with Sharron and Co. for the best part of a decade, training with her and the others to repair, design, create and value all manners of jewellery. Here I have been given opportunities and experiences I never could have imagined and I'm continually learning and anticipating the experiences left to come. I fell in love with the jewellery industry all those years ago, and there’s no jewellers I would rather work for than Walkers.
